To crash

She crashed that day
Beautifully brutally
How you ask
Quite paradoxically
Her exterior easiness on the eye
Was struck by her inner weakness
What was once her success
Could that day no longer carry the strength of make-believe
And so
The game of pretending came to an end
Beautifully brutally
All at once.

  1. Andy says:

I like the conversational tone of this. And the alliteration of Beautifully Brutally.
