His words, not mine

He said he was proud of me
And then walked out the door
Left me lying all alone
Wiped out on the kitchen floor
Staring at spaces between
The floorboards of brokenness
He may have left behind
Sorrow and chaotic mess
But what hurt the most
Was the answer I would never get.
