The artist

The details in his work
Makes perfection seem guilty
Of fault and wrongful doing

Faded away by comparison
He knows nothing of great nor beyond
Sees only what others do not

Time trickles as sand runs
Through open hands and fingers
He learns only when day is gone.

the life of an artist….. i have known quite a few who get caught up in their work – i suppose when inspiration strikes, an artist must milk it for all of it’s worth:) I believe this is why I love artists and can relate to them – their passion and determination for their creativity.
